Study Away: Rebecca Shoer '13

I just returned from a ten day trip in the Wet Tropics Bioregion, where we spent each day exploring various rainforest habitats and taking notes in the field. Our group also took a camping trip into the bush along with two Aboriginal members of SIT, and we got to engage with and learn about the wide range of racial issues facing Australia today. In a few days we leave for a ten day stay on Lizard Island, a research station located in the Great Barrier Reef. With such a range of classrooms, it’s impossible to get bored!
